The first dance I ever choreographed was a “drying off” dance that I used to do when I was a kid and had just gotten out of the tub. You know – to evaporate that last bit of dampness that the towel had left behind.
Then I got some training.
I went on to run a dance company for 14 years. Here are some photos in no particular order. My book, Not About Madonna, describes my life as a dancer and choreographer in some detail. I am endlessly grateful to the men and women who danced for me for so long and for all the people on the sidelines who wrote grants, raised money, donated cheesecakes to afterglow receptions, and came to see us dance.
